We rented a limo and went around the city and to the Eiffel Tower shooting guerilla style. I used this photo on the original box design for the film. Clips from PARIS CHIC are now showing in the Members Area of AndrewBlake.com.

This was the second production I shot in Paris - the first being PRIVATE PROPERTY. My distributor in France at the time put me in touch with my Production Manager Gregory. He arranged for my crew of Assistant Camera and Assistant Make-Up Artist. I flew in from Los Angeles my Wardrobe Stylist and Key Make-Up Artist. We arranged the locations through an agency I used on PRIVATE PROPERTY. Then the casting begun. I was fortunate to have Gregory's contacts in assembling the first rate cast of Coralie, Lea Martini and the 19 year old Anita Blond who I fell in love with and became one of my best collaborators over the years.

On the first day of shooting in the apartment you see here, Coralie was suffering from the flu. We had an emergency medical vehicle come to the set to administer her medicine. She recovered enough to continue through the day. Lea was very high strung the first day, but calmed down through the remainder of the shoot. I also learned the extravagant habit of drinking wine at lunch on this film. So all in all, a very pleasant shoot!
